About Tamale Technical Institute

Tamale Technical Institute began as a Trades Training
Centre in 1951 and then became the Government
Training School in 1954. It was converted to a
Technical Institute in 1960. The school was absorbed
into Tamale Polytechnic in 1992 until 2017 when it was
ceded out from the Polytechnic (Tamale Technical
University) as Tamale Technical Institute.

VISION
The institute envisions becoming a practical and
technological driven institute with a cohesive
workforce for the running of TVET programmes
relevant to national development, taking cognisance
of the socio-economic environment of the institute.

MISSION

To provide opportunities for skills development,
training and competences in relevant fields and link
the training and development to the requirements of
the world of work and industry.
