Virgin Atlantic to resume operations in Ghana by May 2025

The Limited (GACL) has announced that Virgin Atlantic will resume operations in Ghana starting May 2025, making it the 25th airline to operate out of Kotoka International Airport. The airline will run daily flights using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

GACL’s Managing Director, Mrs Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare, expressed excitement about Virgin Atlantic’s return, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Virgin Atlantic back to Ghana… We look forward to collaborating with Virgin Atlantic to ensure the seamless launch of their operations and continued facilitation at the airport.”

Mrs Opare also revealed plans to optimize Terminal 2 to help ease congestion at Terminal 3. Details will be shared after stakeholder engagements. Virgin Atlantic’s return is expected to enhance connectivity for passengers travelling to various global destinations.
