About Krobo Girls Senior High School
Krobo Girls Senior High School is a Presbyterian school situated at the western part of Odumase Krobo, about one kilometre off the Odumase-Asesewa road. It started as Krobo Girls Middle School, which was founded by few female Scottish Missionaries in March 1927. Under the Accelerated Plan of the Government, a two-year Teacher Training College
for women was added to the Girls School in 1944 on an experimental basis.
The College was constituted as a Certificate ‘B’ Teacher Training for women in 1951 under the Management of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. In 1962, the Two-Year Teacher Training College changed to a Four-Year Certificate ‘A’ Teacher Training College for women. In September 1973, the Krobo Girls Middle School phased out while Krobo Training College (Presbyterian) was converted to a Girls Secondary School, under the Consolidation of Teacher Education Programme by the Ministry of Education. The school has been a Secondary School in view of the new educational reforms by the Ministry of Education since January 1990.
