About Afua Kobi Ampem Girls' Senior High School
Afua Kobi Ampem Girls' Senior High School was established by the government of
Ghana in October, 1975. As a community school, it was co-educational under the name Trabuom Secondary School. However, in the course of time, the name was changed to Atwimaman Secondary School to give it the character of the traditional area of its location. Now the school is called Afua Kobi Ampem Girls’ Senior High School because when Otumfour Osei Tutu II ascended the Golden Stool, he adopted the school and named it after his mother Nana Afua Kobi Ampem the queen mother of the Asante Kingdom. The school is situated at Trabuom which is 22 kilometres West of Kumasi in the Atwima Kwanwoma District.
VISION
To become a model Science School for girls and to providing a comprehensive academic and skills acquisition foundation to pursue further academic studies and become functional citizens.
MISSION
A commitment to provide relevant education to students to enable them acquire the necessary skills that will assist them to identify their talents, and to develop their potentials to become productive in future to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.
